Dare to Dream
Team HQ head to Britain’s Got Talent finalist Flakefleet Primary School, to help inspire a new generation to Dare to Dream their careers can be achieved.
18th June 2019
BLACKPOOL, LANCS - It’s Career Carasol time at Flakefleet Primary School in Fleetwood as Team HQ set out to inspire another group of youngsters to understand that their career opportunities are endless through belief, hard work choosing the right path.
Eight businesses from around the Fleetwood area came together this morning to help inspire the Year 6 children of Flakefleet Primary School before they finished the term and moved onto High School and took their options. Those companies included Wyre County Council (centre), booking agency Concierge Ninja (3rd from the right), comedian Ruth Cockburn (1st on the right) and housing companies Great Places (1st on the left) & The Redrow Group (2nd & 3rd from the left)
“Part of the Programme the children are undertaking is about overcoming barriers to achieve their goals” - Helen Walker, Flakefleet Primary School
In addition to helping businesses get started, Team HQ is about inspiring and motivating existing business owners to find a way to make their business work and/or rediscover their passion for their chosen career path. We do this by finding out what made them love the job in the first place and helping them remove the barriers they feel are stopping them from moving forward, we’ve all been there and we understand the struggles of running your own business.
Rather than focusing on what Team HQ does as a business, Team HQ CCO Elliot Evans instead took to approach to ask the children what career they wanted and then explained the route towards getting their, from midwifery to artists and having enough future footballers and police officers for the school to start their own teams and forces, the children of Flakefleet Primary School have already witnessed first hand what believing in a dream can create from their own endeavours in both the charts and ITV show Britain’s Got Talent.
Team HQ have been attending these schools not to talk business, but to help inspire others that just because someone said it couldn’t be doesn’t mean it can’t and the only person who can make or break your dreams and goals is you.
Remember, when writing the word Can’t, you first have to write the word Can, it’s down to you to choose if you add the T or not.
