Let the Guild meet the Team

On Saturday the 27th of April 2019, Team HQ in conjunction with Pride of Place (a Prince's Trust initiative) welcomed the first major visit of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologist (, a Guild based in the centre of London that is made up of current and former technology entrepreneurs and high powered individuals including several members of the UK's Top 100 richest Tech individuals.

Along with 3 other speakers from the Blackpool and Fylde College, Blackpool Council, and a newly formed technology-led Social Enterprise, Team HQ conveyed a vision of how people could move from London and Internationally to set up new businesses or move satellite hubs of their existing companies to the North West for a fraction of the cost and the new developments already happening in the area.

"If Liverpool is half the price of London, then Blackpool is half the price of Liverpool" - Sir Andrew Parmley, Former Mayor of London.

After the presentations ended Team HQ met all 50+ guests to discuss our existing and up and coming projects in addition to thanking them for their time.

We hope to share with you how those talks will impact on our incubatees and our company in future posts, but it is all very exciting for both Team HQ and anyone looking to launch a new tech-based company in Blackpool and the surrounding areas right now.
