BLACKPOOL, LANCS - Lancashire’s first private accelerator company focused primarily on tech & the community sectors have today announced their partnership with Dadsnet.com, a nationwide community made up of fathers across the UK, which has just recently acquired financial backing from social media giant Facebook.
“Community projects are intrinsic to the shared values of both TeamHQ and the Dadsnet, and we are delighted to announce this partnership” Shared TeamHQ’s Co-Founder Peter Brooks this week.
Through the power of the beautiful game, TeamHQ help make football sessions affordable to the members of the Dadsnet by organizing ‘kickabout’ sessions with local sports venues and the locally appointed Dadsnet representative and capping the amount of money each member is charged to play.
Graham Sims, Dadsnet Community Leader for Lancashire spoke with delight about the project: “We used to play on a park and in winter it made it difficult and expensive until TeamHQ came in and offered to help and give dads an affordable place to meet, socialise and get a little fitter in the process”.
The project allows those men who may never have kicked a ball in their lives before to meet up with other men to play, socialize and improve their fitness in a safe and open environment, dispelling the myth that men don’t talk.
“In the wake of several high-profile and a heart-breaking number of local male suicides, we looked at how we could try and help. This may be a small gesture but if it helps just one life it will be a success” Said TeamHQ’s Co-Founder Elliot Evans.
TeamHQ will also be using their expertise by offering career and business advice alongside helping in areas such as mental, physical, social and financial Health, to help boost the well-being of the Dadsnet community.
